I've recently purchased a Worcester boiler. After a few weeks we decided to go for a gas-fired, Worcester combi boiler - Greenstar 42 CDi. We decided to go for this boiler for a number of reasons.
Firstly, I've had a Worcseter boiler before in my previous house, and in my experience it was really efficient and reliable. In fact, in the three years of living there I don't think it caused a single problem (and the boiler must have been quite old when we moved in).
Secondly, the Worcseter combi boiler allowed us to develop our attic space in the future because the boiler doesn't require a supply of hot water, and thus there is no need for a hot water cylinder in the loft space.
Thirdly, Worcster boilers have a reputation for being efficient. Apparently, they are up to 90 percent efficient.
Finally, the control panel on a Worcseter combi boiler is easy to use, unlike with some boilers where setting the timer is one of the most difficult challenges known to man.
After installation, which was a painless process, our Worcester combi boiler is housed in our utility room. So far we have had absolutely no problems at all, and the boiler has been tested to the max following the recent cold spell of weather we have experienced. I continue to be impressed by Worcester boilers and I would recommend Worcester combi boiler (Greenstar range) to anyone looking to make a change to their heating set-up.
